Our specialized detergents in conjunction with the Esporta Wash System are
unsurpassed in the cleaning of Wildland Fire gear. We handle the
unique
requirements of cleaning Nomex fabrics from tough soils like soot and oil
without damaging the waterproof characteristics' of the field packs, back
packs, or tents or the fireproof characteristics of the protective
clothing, including leather items. Our products and system are
environmentally friendly requiring no special filters or treatments in our
wet clean process.
With a pH under 10 and full chemical activation in water temperatures at or
below 100 F, we effectively clean deep into the protective gear meeting all
guidelines stated in the current NFPA 1851 standards.
When compared to traditional methods of cleaning our system outperforms
other machines and produces far less physical action on the gear. This
feature is acknowledged as a better method of cleaning by garment
manufacturers and should prolong the life of the wildland fire gear as it is
more gentle to Velcro, buckles and seams. Our unique method of cleaning also
protects the wildland fire gear from heavy abrasion associated with
traditional machines. This helps to preserve the fire retardancy and
waterproof qualities of the clothing and extends the serviceable life of the
items.
